For over twenty years, James Weston has followed his musical path around the world, working as a singer-songwriter, session musician, recording engineer, producer and film composer. He has written hundreds of songs, collaborated with artists including Oscar winner Keith Carradine and Grammy winner David Campbell, released a dozen records, and toured extensively across the US and Europe.

His music has been compared to Tom Waits, Joe Cocker and Bob Dylan, with his rich baritone bringing depth and character to his songs. At heart, James is a true blue-collar musician and modern-day troubadour who values the intimate connection between artist, audience and music.

At Stampen, James is backed up by Swedish musicians David Henriksson (electric guitar) and Staffan Sandell (drums) as well as Portuguese bass player Luis Henrique.

These four individuals met during a long tour of the U.K. and Ireland in the spring 2016. They became close friends but haven’t played together again, or even been in the same room, until NOW!
